Auckland born, he was a relative latecomer signing up with NZ Warriors.
Made his test debut for NZ in the Trans-Tasman test against Australia at Auckland in 2003 and scored 2 tries in a 30-16 victory. In 2004, he played for NZ in the Tri-Nations Series.
Signed a 3 year deal at St. Helens in 2005 but moved to Warrington Wolves on a similar deal prior to the 2007 campaign. Played for Warrington in both of their RL Challenge Cup final victories over Huddersfield Giants and Leeds Rhinos respectively in 2009 and 2010 at Wembley.
